Tara Vintage was born of the passion for fashion of its creator, a discerning connoisseur, who over the years has amassed, and lovingly cared for a vintage collection of items created by some of the most renowned designers of the 20th century.

The Tara Vintage philosophy is simply defined. We believe vintage is an enduring creation of outstanding workmanship, crafted from the finest of materials. Something that’s unique of its time, with a style that endows whoever wears it with its own particular fascination.

Every vintage piece has its own individual story. A story about the fabric it’s made from, its initial conception and construction, the story of its owner, and the spirit of the times they lived in.

Vintage is not second hand, but rather a memory of creativity, skill, imagination, and often pioneering experimentation, which in today’s conformist world we are fast losing sight of.

Our collection comprises dresses, suits and separates, underwear and corsetry, bathing costumes, furs, hats, belts, jewelry, glasses and sunglasses, handbags and vintage luggage dating from the end of the 1800’s to the 1980’s, and embraces the work of the most respected designers of our times, such as Dior, Jeanne Lanvin, Guy Laroche, Pierre Cardin, Coco Chanel, Cristobal Balenciaga, Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Maggy Rouff, Galitizine, Mariano Fortuny, Saint Laurent and Gianni Versace.

Of particular interest for design research is our vast and exclusive collection of underwear, corsetry and lingerie, many items of which are prototypes that were never produced and samples that have never been worn.
